A beautifully poised cool-climate Shiraz, balancing generosity with finesse.
The growing season leading into the 2023 vintage was cool and wet, with above-average rainfall and an extended ripening period stretching well into April. This slower growing season allowed the fruit to achieve full flavour and phenolic ripeness before being carefully hand-picked.
Sourced entirely from a warmer Beechworth site, the 2023 Shiraz is expressive and beautifully balanced. Aromas of blueberry, blackberry and dark cherry are layered with inky notes, subtle vanilla and a gentle lift of white pepper. The palate is vibrant and silky, revealing juicy boysenberry, blackberry and blood plum, supported by fine tannins and bright acidity. Delicate baking spices and savoury nuances lead to a long, lingering finish where fruit and spice remain effortlessly in harmony.
Elegant yet generous, this Shiraz is drinking beautifully now and will reward careful cellaring over the coming years.
 
Perfect with: Roast lamb, slow-cooked beef cheeks, braised short ribs, or any rich winter dish worthy of a second glass.
