This very special flight of Baarmutha Shiraz (from our archival cellars) 2 X 2018, 2 X 2019, and 2 X 2021.
Amazing way to taste and enjoy the three seasons. Wines all natural open vat ferment process, extended maceration, no filtration, stunning new and old French Oak, 18 months underground, 30% oak influence, 8 to 15 % whole bunch.
2018 Shiraz… Dark Crimson hue, more dark plums , cherries, and licorice, fuller in body due to the late season heat, outstanding point of difference in the line-up.
2019 Shiraz... Dark red with a purple hue, awesome lifted nose with presence of black pepper and plum/ripe black fruit, full bodied with a firm tannin structure.
2021 Shiraz is a classic example of the cool climate versatility of Australia's champion grape type. Very deep in colour, it has a nose of black current and white pepper and on the palate a burst of plum fruit which supported by 20% new French oak and balanced acid, provides an elegant and full tannin structure. A great food Shiraz that will cellar for many years.
